Where Has The Time Gone??????

Still haven't found my camera software. I figured out how to download my photos without it. Anyway, just a little recap of the last two months.

Marvin's leg after his little accident. Good thing he didn't break his leg, he still uses it. :)

Livvy and my sister's new chihuahua. Bruno. Livvy loves him to death. Literally, I think it's been close a few times. :) You should her her say chihuahua. "Choo-wow-wow."

Our neighbors gave Livvy a HUGE Barbie dollhouse. It's taller than she is! Of course we had to stick Bruno in there to meet the Barbie clan.
Harrison and Grandmother on Easter. They love going to see the Grandmas!
We intend to leave for Albuquerque the last part of May. We are going to look for housing next week. Love to all our friends and family!

February has flown by, honestly I don't know what happened to it. March has brought warmer weather to Silver City, along with the wonderful wind! (That was a totally sarcastic statement.) The juniper pollen count is way high, and I am high too. (On Claritin of course.) Not much news to report this go-round.

My friend Amy moved to Virden this past weekend. We will miss you Amy! We went out with a bang. We had girl's night at my house on Thursday, and it got a little interesting! I wish Amy and her family the best of luck!

Marvin and I went to Albuquerque this past weekend, and got admissions and finanacial aid taken care of. We also bought a newer vehicle to get us through the program. Marvin's bike was in the shop, and my van has needed over $1000 in repairs in the last three months, so we decided the purchase was necessary. I have a hard time with debt, so the whole weekend was a little overwhelming, but I know this is the right decision for us. Three more months until we move! As it is getting closer, I realize all the things that I wish I had done. There are people here that I wish I could have gotten to know a little better. There are things and places I wanted to see, right here around Silver City. I guess everybody feels that way when things in their lives change.

On a lighter note, Marv almost broke his knee this weekend. That wasn't much of a lighter note, was it? Marvin was unloading a car from a trailer, and the car rolled off the trailer too fast, and crushed his knee between the car and a truck that was nearby. He is very lucky that nothing was broken. His knee is bruised pretty bad and it is still sore. He said he felt the bumper of the car "give " a little as it hit his knee. I feel that he was watched over, and was protected from more serious injuries. Men just think they're invincible, don't they?

I don't have any recent pictures. My computer crashed this past week, and we just got it back from a friend who fixed it for us. More pics to come after I get my camera software reinstalled!

Love to all our family and friends!!!!

My Wonderful Mess

I was making the kids clean up their rooms tonight, all the while griping to myself about the never-ending clutter that seems to follow me everywhere. As I was helping Harrison straighten out his shelves, I thought to myself, "There will come a time that I will long for the days of toys in the floor, and I will wish that I had little sticky hands and faces to wipe." I don't want to forget these days. I need to treasure and savor every minute with my babies. So, I picked up the camera and snapped a few pictures of my kids' rooms. Livvy was playing store at the time, and was busy carting food from the kitchen to her bedroom. Thus, the animal crackers in her doll buggy. One of the greatest things about being a mom is that you get to get up and do it all over again tomorrow.

Family and Friends Fast

We are going to fast tomorrow for our nephew Dallin. (I hope I spelled that right.) He was born 2 1/2 months early, and is in intensive care in Tucson. We ask our friends and family to fast and/or pray for him that he will grow and be healthy, so that he can come home. Our thoughts and prayers are also with Paige C., in the hopes that she will heal from her surgeries. So many of us are burdened right now, and we hope that we can lend the support and comfort that those who are suffering need.

Our "White" Christmas

Our ward Christmas party was fun. The kids had fun visiting with Santa. Harrison has a bit of a "deer in the headlights" look, I don't know what was up with that. Aren't Livvy's hairbows cute? Misty Lewis made them, so she is the one to call if you need cute bows for your girls.

The kids bought Marv a plug-n-play hunting game. He and the kids have played it non-stop! Well, I have been playing too! Marvin gets mad if I beat his score, so he HAS to get back on the game and beat me again. I don't know how long this will last, I guess men can't handle the fact that their wives hunt animated deer better than they do!

Harrison's Christmas wish was a Star Wars Lego set. Marvin spent about six hours Christmas day putting it together for him. He is very happy with the finished product. I ought to post a picture of it.

This is Olivia's doll-she named her Tasha. She had been asking for her every time we went into Family Dollar. She was only $10, so I wasn't surprised when Tasha's leg fell off the next day. Olivia chased Harrison around the house with it, and clocked him on the head a couple of times. So, I figure if she's still happy with Tasha, I'm happy!

This was our "day-after White Christmas." A bad storm settled in on the 26th. We weren't able to get up our hill due to the ice. We slid down sideways twice! (Susan and Candace, you remember that don't you?:) I did get some cute pictures of Harrison in the snow.

The Verdict Is In!

Marvin called me earlier this afternoon and gave me the news we've been waiting for all year. He's been accepted to UNM!!!! The past two weeks have kept us both anxious as we've waited for the mailman everyday. I had no idea they would call! I called everyone in his family within the first five minutes. Marvin is the kind to keep things like this to himself, but I feel like this is the kind of news you shout to the world. So here it is....MARV'S GOING TO BE A PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT! I am so proud of him and love him for the sacrifices he has made to provide a better life for us. Men like my Marv are few and far between. So if you have your own "Marv," hang onto him and never let go!

Here are a few pics from WNMU's graduation last week.

Fun in Mesa

Marvin had an interview in Mesa this past weekend. We stayed with my uncle, and had a little fun be-bopping around town. They recently put in a double decker carousel in the Superstition Springs Mall. Those of you who live in Mesa have probably already checked it out. We thought it was totally cool, and the kids took a ride. (One ride, mind you, it's $2.50 a go!) I think the gorilla was my favorite animal.

After the mall we went to the Mesa Temple to see the Christmas lights. You Mesa dwellers are so lucky to have the Temple so close! I miss not being able to go two or three times during the season. The kids were amazed at the lights. Well, so was I to tell the truth! Marvin took some great shots.
